The Israeli Competition Authority is continuing its investigation of the food industry giant Tnuva
Tnuva suspected of impeding competition and price fixing. In fact, the dairy market, which was one of the causes of social revolt of last summer, has not gone through a real structural change. Tnuva and Strauss continue to control the milk sector: despite consumer boycotts, milk sales increased for 3.2% in 2011, mainly due to price increases. The volume of sales of the milk sector represents NIS 7.6 billion in 2011 (1.5 billion euros), against 7.36 billion shekels in 2010.
